Hi everyone,

We're in the process of trying to find an apartment to rent in Belgium while currently living overseas. We've found a place we really like, and fortunately, some friends living in Belgium have been able to check it out in person. However, I'm wondering how long I should anticipate the whole process to take.

I've been in contact with the agency advertising the apartment, and they've told me that they're waiting for a response from the landlord. It's been about 3 weeks, and I keep getting the same response from the agency. Is this normal? I don't assume that the process of renting an apartment in Belgium is necessarily the same as it is here, but we also don't want to be strung along and ultimately left high and dry.

As it is, we're moving in September, so it would be reassuring to know whether we should let it go or wait it out. Any information or advice would be appreciated!
