Hi all,
I have never read as much as I do now - and I've read almost all the books that I brought with me to Belgium. I'm not going to re-read most of them, and I thought it would be great if all of us expats traded already-read English books - a free way to get new books!

There is actually a website I found where you can join a book-swap club. The link is: http://book-swap.meetup.com/cities/be/
You just click on the city you live in. If more people sign up I will host a meeting in late October and we can all bring some books, drink some wine and make some trades! I'm living in Mechelen - which is a pretty easy train-ride from most cities.

If you are interested and don't want to sign up on the website, just email me and I'll send you an invite by email when I host a meeting.

To good books on long train rides,
Kathryn

Hi Kathryn
I've just signed up. Looks like we're up to 7 members. Worth arranging a meet-up yet?
I'm living in Lier, so not too far from Mechelen. I work in Brussels, so train stops in Mechelen anyway.

I would be interested in trading English (and Flemish) magazines as well.
I'm a part-time writer (non-fiction), and am always on the lookout for source material.

It's a great idea!

but I think I'm too protective over my books... .

Count me in as I have books I need to get rid of and I do not want to just put them in the rubbish.
