NOT ONLY IS IT DEDUCTIBLE, but you can start a new business ENTIRELY with Personal Property that you claim as property of the business.

As a sole proprietor which might be a good option for you, your business does not need it's own name, so anything bought under your name can be called your required business investment for whatever money you paid for it, in the case of starting a new company, as a sole proprietor.

Anything a business buys is deductable
as a business expense, regardless of where you bought it. As dutchhelp
said, you REALLY need a different Accountant.

(Editted) What matters is your net (after deduction) income, so you DO actually need to watch how much you claim as a business deduction.
