I'm a 23 year old graduate and am looking to meet some English speakers who may be interested in meeting up for a couple of drinks sometime. Sitting in bars and restaurants on my own is becoming a bit dull as most people from work socialise out of town

There are loads of us - and many of us have been here for several years!
If you are interested in theatre then the British-American Theatre Society (BATS)has a social gathering every first Friday evening of the month at Paardemaarkt 111 in Antwerp - but this month it is this Friday, 30th June!!!!. There is also the Antwerp British Community Association, the Antwerp British and International Women, the Antwerp Fine Art Society etc. etc. Have a look in the Survival - Groups and Clubs section and do a search for Antwerp!! When I first came it seemed as if everything and everyone was in Brussels, but that's honestly not the case!

I found BATS (the theatre group referred to at the top of the page) a nice place to meet native English speakers. I reckon they're still looking for "aspiring/amateur" actors for their Christmas pantomine.

You meet a lot of Brits on the weekend around the centre of Antwerp, mostly holed up in an Irish bar watching the football. I'm not sure if that's your scene. We go out a lot to bars in the south of antwerp and we don't really meet any native English speakers, but it's nice in a way 'caus you get more local!
