Hi fellow Aussies,

Just wondering what Aussie expats in Belgium do for Aussie Day (if anything)? I know there are 2 "Aussie" restaurants or Aussie themed anyway, one in Diepenbeek and one in Lanaken. Assuming that this is probably far for most people, how do u celebrate? Have a barbie in the middle of winter? Have drinks in pubs that sell crownies or new or VB? Or bake meat pies?

By the way, has anyone been to an "Aussie" restaurant in Belgium? And what were your thoughts?

Hi maggsy, sorry I'm a bit late but the Australia Society organises always something for Australia Day. This year it was somewhere in Kraainem. Just join the Australia Society because they also organise a monthly drink at the embassy. http://www.aussieworld.com/ausoc/
