On a German speaking forum a lovely Austrian lady claims that the following sentence is proper English:

"black-white tigered cat and the other one is a three-colored cat"

To me it sounds very foreign.

Could a native speaker please translate it into good English for me.

Thanks
Ventho
one of cats coat's colouring was black, white and striped (or tabby instead of striped maybe, cat breeds aren't my speciality),

The other cat's coat was made up of 3 colours.

Just a stab in the dark when the english is not good there's a certain degree of interpretation

Thanks a lot.

You were right in your interpretations.

My interpretation is that one cat is a
tiger cat that's black and white striped, and the other is a calico cat (tabby is also correct).

Spot on, DB. Thanks.

Is not true that tabby cat is "a cat having dark coloured marks on grey or brown fur"?
