Hi everyone...maybe one of you can reccommend an accountant...my situation is this. I am preparing to move from Italy to Belgium. I plan on keeping my Italian freelance work at least for the first few months in belgium, but possibly permanently if the job market is as bad there as it sounds! I know there is a double taxation agreement which says I could pay taxes in italy only and stay a resident there, but the truth is I want to get the hell out of Italy! It's a nightmare. I want to pay into the belgian social security system and have medical care if I need it...Other than paying taxes in BOTH countries I'm not sure what my options are. If anyone can recommend a person who might be able to make sense of this, I'll be forever grateful. An email address would probably be better since I'm not in belgium yet
Try Burco in Brussels www.burco.be

They belong to an international network of accountants so should be able to help in cross-border issues.

What an excellent website! I found so much information there and have contacted them to see if they can help me. Thanks for the tip!
