Not really a sport but wasn't sure where else to post...
Am looking for a self defence class in Brussels and so far have found 2 places (Tae Kwon Do Int'l and Action Reaction) that offer courses. I would love to know whether anyone's had experience with either one, or can recommend another org. Thanks...

I don't know if there's anywhere in Brussels to do this, but also look into Ju Jitsu. My friend does it and finds it really great!

My son does it and he is beginning to love it. It´s selfdefence only and a lot of fitness training. The good thing: you don´t have to practice for years till you can defend yourself but every grip you´re taught makes sense right away.
Another good thing: anybody can do it even handycaped people so you don´t have to be a very sportive person to start Jiu-Jitsu - my son used to be hopeless but now he´s great. Just after 5 months he´s passed his first exam.

Yeah, especially if you remember me talking about him being a "sports zero".

Yes, he is and it was a real break through for him.
Now he wants to practice twice a week (like everybody else) and get the back belt asap.
To take the pressure from him at the exam I told him we were going to celebrate his courage to participate and not the result.
Of course afterwards he said "It was sooo easy".

I’m looking for Tae kwon do lessons too !
I had a few ones, few years ago and I’d like to start again; I found this sport very complete especially with all the stretching exercises, which is very important when you practise a lot of sport.
For example, at the Leuven university sport facilities, there’s a possibility to attend Tae Kwon Do sessions even if you’re not a student.
Wether you get a “sport card” for the year (85 €), this card gives you access to all the sport activities of the university, or you can get a 2 € Pass for the day, therefore per lesson.
I don’t know the average rates in a separate club.
Has maybe anyone experienced sport lessons at the university ? good quality ?
What about Tae Kwon Do clubs in the Leuven area or even Liège area ?
Thanks for any tips
