A woman was seriously injured on Thursday afternoon after a police officer on a motorcycle hit her while she was crossing the street at a zebra crossing in Amsterdam-Zuid. According to eyewitnesses, the officer ran through a red light without a siren or flashing red light. The police officer was lightly injured. An investigation is being conducted.

This woman has died of her injuries.

And it turns out she was an American expat: Jennifer Mary Nolan. If anyone close to her is reading this, my sincere condolences.

There have been a series of incidents lately involving police vehicles in accidents. Two deaths and several injuries so far.
