Hi,
I'm a graduate student in Amsterdam, originally from the United States. I've never not worked while attending school and would like to use some of my free time here to gain some work experience. I know the work rules here put non-EU citizens at a huge disadvantage in terms of securing a job I was hoping that I might be able to supplement my studies with an unpaid internship instead.
Does anyone happen know if there are any special constraints on unpaid work? Would I have to upgrade to the national health insurance from student insurance? Are there any other considerations I would have to take into account?
I don't have one in mind here, I was more wondering if it were possible for someone in my situation to legally get one.
Thank you,
~m.
