Hi to all,
I live in Amsterdam and although I normally cycle, sometimes it would be useful to just have a car to transport some stuff. I have the NS monthly route pass so I guess I would have a discount on the green wheels.
Can anyone explain me how much I would pay? My biggest question is if I have to go from my house to a friend's house and I stay there for the night, do I have to pay for that time that I'm not using the car? Can I park the car anywhere or just the greenwheels parking slots?
Cheers!
It depends on your contract. Normall it charges for per hour usage and per km usage. They are readily available in Amsterdam in almost every corner. The car has a parking permit to park within the zone. For example, I normally get the car in center, then I can park within the same zone in the center. Otherwise, you probably need to pay parking fee if appliable. You always have to return your car to the same spot.
Of course if you are renting the car, you have to pay for the hours/km that you are used. It is cheaper after midnight. So, it is not too bad if you want to use it overnight.
You should check out their website which have all the fees in details.
