I am thinking about buying something in Duivendrecht.

What do you think about it and what do you know about it?

After visiting some properties I saw that it is quiet and calm and it is both very close to Amsterdam Central as well as to Zuidoost, where I work.

I am not interested in shopping or entertainment as I will go to Amsterdam, but as a living community, is it nice and safe?

It looks pretty nice, and has good rail connections! But that's all I know I'm afraid. I get the feeling that it's sort of its own little community that is surrounded by Amsterdam.

Does anyone know whether it is safe ? I do not have a family but I would not want to be robbed when walking home.

Duivendrecht is too close to Bijlmer to be a safe place. I know what I'm talking about - I live in Diemen which is also not safe enough.
