My husband, is from Holland and I'm from Boston, where we currently reside. His parents live in Antwerp so we're coming for a visit in August for about a month. My husband is only coming for about a week or two and then I'm staying back. Our son, will be 18 months when we arrive.

I'm sure that I'll have plenty of time to spend with the family but am also looking for other families and playgroups, etc in the area so when we arrive, we have things to do outside of the family time. We also plan to return to Antwerp in December for the entire month.

About 9 years ago we lived there for about 5 months, so I'm pretty familiar with the city center, but at the time we had no children, so it's different now. Oh, I don't speak Dutch well, but I can understand a lot. I'm sort of afraid, so perhaps during one of these extended visits, I can take a course.
