I searched the forum about postdoc salaries in netherland. But didnt get any specific answer.

Could anybody pls tell me the range of postdoc salary in netherland. Specifically I m interested to know about leiden university ( natural science e.g physics, chemistry etc.)

I m 33 and non european working in germany for the last 8 yrs in the field of nanotechnology. I have already 2 yrs of postdoctoral experience.

I would like to knw how much I expect as postdoc for my qualification. Any approx. figure will do fine ..

As matter of fact, although there is a banding range, since the university you refer to is a public one, it would be difficult to give you a bench mark what to expect, since it will probably depend on several issues such as how much of your scientific work have you published or in your subject it would matter whether you hold any patents or any other major discoveries in your records. After all, since it would be public sector, bear in mind that this would always be lower paid than the private industrial, but if you present yourself best, you probably can negotiate at what end of the banding you will be remunerated. Also to mention that with the pay you stated in your 30% question you not bad quoted.

My boyfriend makes around 40K a year, in a post-doc at TU Delft in Computer Sciences.

I know some expats making over EUR 1000/per day (working as contractors).
