The average number of hours worked by temporary staff from mid-May to mid-June fell by 24 percent compared to the same period in 2008.
The steepest decrease was recorded in the industrial and technological sectors.
The number of hours worked by temporary staff in the technological sector was down 32 percent compared to the 2008 figures. The industrial sector was close behind with a decrease of 29 percent.
The ABU figures are based on information received from 80 percent of the temporary work agencies in the Netherlands.

I would be interested in a comparison of Dutch agencies and expat agencies. We all have anecdotal evidence that expat agencies have fewer jobs, especially English only ones, but statistics would be more helpful. I would also like a breakdown of sectors since so many people considering a move here ask about the job situation for IT, for example.
