I think the nearest I ever got to a'pearly white beach' was a long time ago in the Sinai desert before it became really touristy.
We camped,bought little matchboxes full of locally grown weed from the nomads.

We partyed with a bunch of lovely friendly UN soldiers from the US too,who were just wandering up and down the beach on patrol.It was so funny - we just had so much to talk about - and the laughs!
Took camel and horse rides.
I was there for a month living like a beach bum or something - it was certianly a long,long way from Lancashire )

Miss Blue, I do not call the bed on the picture a "double bed"! In Dutch it is called a "twijfelaar" and a "normal" man (= 186 cm, like me!) can certainly not sleep in all directions in it .Imagine what would happen if he had a bed companion...
