Would anyone be interested in doing a pet sitting exchange?
My boyfriend and I go on weekend trips about once a month (sometimes we leave for a week vacation) and finding someone to watch our dog Stella is always a stress. I was thinking if someone else was in the same situation we could arrange a pet sitting exchange. If you go out of town, I would be more than happy to watch your pet at my place for free if you are willing to do the same for me.
Let me know if this interests you and we'll start figuring out the details!
Thanks
Liz

Hi Liz,
We need the same! We have a golden retriever and are going for a weeks holiday in August.
What kind of dog do you have? What dates are you free in August?
We are very happy to exchange this service.

Hi Mark-
I JUST saw your reply (sorry it took so long). We'll be out of town this weekend but for the rest of the month we'll be in town.
When are you going out of town? If it's not too late, we'd be more than happy to watch your Golden :-)
We have a 3 year old spayed corgi/bull terrier mix and she gets along great with other dogs. We like to either go to the park or on a walk everyday so your pup will be in good hands.
Let me know if you're still interested.
Hope to hear from you soon,
Liz
Oh and we're in the Pijp, not far from Sarphatipark.

Hey there,
I love to get out of my own city (Leiden) and often head up to Amsterdam to look after my friend's pets while they're away.
If you're living in the city, I could always watch your pets for you over the weekend, or even the week I guess, in exchange for you letting me stay at your place.
(I'm totally normal, 32, work full time in Schipol-Rijk, I just like to change things up a bit when the occasion arises)

Hi to Liz or anyone else. I'd be interested in doing a pet sitting exchange. I travel quite a bit for work and my wife isn't here yet so I do need a proper pet sitter most of the time. But that need should diminish to just holidays soon when she moves here.
I have a sweet almost 12 year old boxer Zeke

I get to work from home and spend a lot of time with him. He loves other dogs. We live near Westerpark by Prinseneiland and go to the park almost every day.
Send me a message if you're interested in meeting to see if this works.

Hi all,
Great idea! We are very interested in a dog sitting exchange. We have successfully done this at our last location (Edinburgh), and think this is a great system. We are currently looking for a dog sitter for our 10 year old Golden Retriever Lara for three days at the end of November. We would be happy to sit your dog in exchange. We are located in Zeeburg/Amsterdam.
So if one of you would be interested in meeting up, please reply to this thread because it seems as if I am unable to send private messages yet.
Thanks!

Hi there,
Love the photo of your dog.
We used to have a dog sitting exchange with Liz on this forum but her and partner have to move to Canada.
We would love to set up the an exchange again.
We have a very nice matured golden retriever called Blondie.
However we may need someone to look after her for the last two weeks in November as we have a wedding in Canada.
Let me know what you think,
Mark

Hello all,
I would be willing to do a pet sitting exchange as well. My husband and I have a 3 1/2 year old Ridgeback named Figo and he loves to play with other dogs. We don't go out of town too too often... just the normal summer and winter vacations, perhaps more weekend trips in the summer. I work from home though so I get to spend a lot of time with him.
We live in Delft, which is not super convenient from Amsterdam, but it's not too far away.
I'm having a bit of trouble finding a place for Figo for the winter holidays. It is for a total of 25 days so I am trying hard to find a boarding place.
If you're interested in exchanging for the future though, let me know,
Emilie

Hi All,
I don't have a dog to exchange but used to have a dog and miss her LOTS! I would love to help out if any of you get stuck for a weekend. I am at work during the week during the day time so it is more difficult to do longer care unless your dog is used to being alone and perhaps a dog walker could pop in for a mid-day walk.....I live in the Jordaan in Amsterdam. Just give me a shout if you think I can help, though I understand the 'exchange programme' is probably more suitable!
Oh - and I also have a cat - should not be too much of a problem though I hope in most cases.
Cheers

Hi Everyone,
I'm interested in a dog watching exchange, preferably small dogs only as I have a miniature pincher. We live in the east side of Amsterdam.

Hello everyone!
We live in Amsterdam (Plein 40 45, near lake/park Sloterplas) and have a 5 month old Ridgeback called Vlegel! He gets along very well with other dogs and loooves playing!
If you click here you'll be able to see some of Vlegel's pictures!
Vlegel's websiteWe are very interested in dog sitting exchange! We love dogs and enjoy either walking in the park, beach, forest... So your dog will be more than welcome at our place when needed!
My boyfriend works from home but in February he will go on a trip for one week and because of my work I would need someone to look after Vlegel only during working hours (from Feb 15 until Feb 19).
If you are interested, let us know! You can also send me an email
