Waterstones actually has a book club. I just joined myself and haven't been to a meeting yet so I can't say how it is but it might be worth checking out.
There is one at the American Book Center too but their focus is on spritiual books, which aren't really my thing.
What kind of book clubs have waiting lists??

Do you have an interest in leading a book group yourself?

My Berlin group could use a sister group in Amsterdam. Benefits: the group is well-established (first in DC in 1997), we have a list we create annually (so no monthly "what are we gonna talk about" chats), and it's a great excuse to hold a monthly potluck meal with like-minded people.

Check out our list online: thebookertea.com/readinglist. If you're interested, drop me a line! I'd be happy to help you get one started.
