I'm not sure if I'm allowed to start topics like this one, but I figured I could always try
Let me start with an introduction of myself; my name is Ellen, I'm 21 years old and a student at Utrecht University. My major is in History. This is my third year of the bachelor's programme - I'm hoping to graduate in June/July 2009. To complete the bachelor's programme we all have to write a thesis and mine will be about writing a biography about someone who was young in the Sixties. In this case young means someone aged approx. 16-25 years.
As the topic title already says, I'm looking for an expat who has moved to The Netherlands in the Sixties (or late Fifities/early Seventies) and was aged 15 to 25 by that time. The main purpose of these interviews is of course writing a biography and doing that 'discovering' if the 'cultural revolution', that is very much associated with the Sixties, was also part of the experience of an expat coming to the Netherlands.
If you are someone (or know someone) who 'fits' in this profile and is willing to participate in one or two interviews, I would be very grateful. Please contact me by PM or by email.
Regards,
Ellen
