Hello all,

My husband ran a one man company in the Netherlands, he then set up a BV as a holding company, but no monies were traded through and gathered by this holding company. We now have a huge bill from the tax man on estimated earnings... How can we proceed? We are also in mitigation with the present accountant right now, which means we have no access to the books.

I just do not know where to begin?

Any advice on where to start.

HELP

Thanks in advance!

If you made no income but only had expenses, then you still don'[t have a problem with the belastingdienst in terms of owing them tax
You can get the tax office involved and report to them you made no income and to demand the books from the accountant and give permission to them to obtain it from the accountant.
THe accountant would be hard pressed to not comply to a direct request to produce the books
And finally what is the row about?

Write a Bezwaarbrief (appeal the bill) or get your/an accountant to do it for you. If you do not file returns, you get a bill based on estimate. Even if you do not have any business, you should have filed a 0 return. Anyway, write the letter, state the fact and normally the will waive the bill. If you stuck, contact us, 075 6708 330
