I need some advice. In the Beginning of October, I faxed in my registration and ballot voting for Obama. Later I as sent an office ballot. I filled it out and mailed it in the next day.

I received the following message.

“This is the Harris County Election Department. We are in receipt of your Registration and Absentee Ballot Request with your ballot unfortunately the signatures on the two forms do no match. Can you please send in another Registration and Absentee Ballot Request with your signature so the two signatures can be compared to?”

This is nonsense, because I always sign my signature the same. I need someone’s opinion who has more experience with this. Since from the first form I submitted they know I am voting for Obama. Since Texas is a conservative state, do you think they are trying to surpress my vote? I could keep submitting signatures and they can always claim they are different.

I personally would never fax a secret ballot to anyone. Whats the point of a secret ballot then?

Why don't you contact the Democratic party in Harris county to find out which attorneys they are using there? You can use google and a phone, right?

If you really think there is fraud going on, I know an attorney with the Obama campaign (he is in Cleveland for the election). Although polling place should have an attorney assigned to it.

Voting in the US is specific to each county so its very unlikely anyone else here knows the rules in Harris County.
