Canucky Woman
Apparently the Dutch can't watch the last video you posted...I wonder why?

And, sorry, I'm a horrible purist (or just older than dirt tongue.gif ), but I can't wrap my head around Paul Rodgers and Queen! So here's the original with Bad Company:

I do like Guns and Roses, but I think rock is really the soundtrack for our rebellious youf...and I was already a rebellious mother when they first hit! laugh.gif

So, at the risk of seriously dating myself:

And, well, as a good Canucky, I kind of have to include this... wink.gif

True...

Still think Steve Marriott is one of the most underrated rock and rollers ever:

I saw Steve Marriot by accident when he played at The Duchess of York in Leeds in place of Wilko Johnson.
He was amazing!
Sadly he died a few months later in a house fire.

My Dutchie was working at the Patronaat in Haarlem when he performed there...apparently he was brilliant!

They compared belly sizes after the show -- and the Dutchie won! (He's one of the few not so skinny ones... wink.gif )

The fire occurred a little while later, so you probably saw much the same tour...

This is the song they played at his funeral...pretty sums up how the man lived his life:

Came across this video while searching for the Small Faces one...filmed in '64...wonder what ever happened to this band?

Thanks.
He died in 1991 so I think my memory serves me incorrectly - it must've been about a year before he died....but yes he was indeed brilliant....great guitarist.
I used to love The Patronaat - seen some great stuff there.I might know your dutchie by sight.
Have you been to the new one ? Thats really good too.

A few times, but not as much as I would like since I moved out of Haarlem (WHY does the night bus run from Amsterdam to Haarlem and not visa versa?? angry.gif )...Saw the Bootleg Beatles (better than I expected!), and one set of Eric Burdon and the "Animals" (his guitar player was a egomaniacal Lenny Kravitz wannabe). Walk out after one set...

The Zombies played their temporary location in 2004...that was one of the best shows I had ever seen anywhere...wow.

And the band my Dutchie plays guitar in had their CD release party in the Patronaat Cafe earlier this year:

(Filmed on my mobile phone, so the quality ain't so hot, but meh. Dutchie is the Neil Young lovin' cowboy!)
