I am new here and looking for information, friends and help ?

I am 28 years old girl, half German half French.

I will move next weekend to Amsterdam. I have studied Business Administration and Mathematics and Informatics, and will start working in November in Amsterdam.
I am lucky that I have a relocation company assisting with my relocation and already have an apartment (even if it is nearly not affordable). (I found it via an agency perfect housing which I could highly recommend as they work very professional and could offer me a great choice of apartments, though not cheap!)

I am starting next week a language course at uvatalen, has anyone experiences with that?

Also, besides the language course I will be the whole October not working in Amsterdam, so I have many time to get used to the city, but at the downside I do not know anybody there, yet. So I am looking for friends as well.
Anybody interested ??

I am a very open minded, and funny person. I love sports as well as party. In my free time, I like reading, shopping, yeah basically all the things girls like ?

Welcome to the country (well shortly anyway)!

There are a few social groups on Facebook which might prove useful.

I'm a long term resident in Amsterdam, background in Economics, currently studying in Germany at WHU for an MBA (exec so not full time). British but born and raised in Africa. Working for a large multinational company based in the Netherlands.

Hi Vania,

There is an expat group in the Hague and one in Amsterdam. It's a bit difficult to check now as I am at work and the IT guys have blocked the Facebook site so I only have access to the Blackberry edition right now. I have dinner with friends tonight but can drop you a note with details when I get home later. You could also go onto my Facebook page as I am a member of the groups as well.
