I have a few question regarding a Fiance Visa for Belgium that I hope someone can help me clear up.

I am a South African citizen (currently living in South Africa) engaged to a Belgian citizen (living in Belgium).

I would like to relocate to Belgium, get married to my fiance, take up permanent residence in Belgium and work there.

I am unsure as to which course of action would be correct for my situation. Would I be correct in assuming that I apply for a fiance visa from here (South Africa), go over to Belgium, get married and then the matter can be taken further from there? Would that allow me to stay and work in Belgium? If this is indeed the right course of action, what documentation is required and what time frame am I looking at for the visa?

Some more information about myself and my fiance if that might help. We are both 25 years of age. My fiance (Belgian citizen) is currently still busy with her studies. I (South African citizen) am a qualified professional. I have completed a BSc IT Information and Knowledge System degree and a BSc Honours in Computer Science (both at the University of Pretoria). I have been employed full time since the start of 2007.

Any information regarding the above mentioned matter will be greatly appreciated.
