Hi all,

I'm 35, my name is Elliot, Born in Newcastle Upon Tyne, UK, and I'm into my second week here in the Hague (sounds like a AA Meeting)

It's not my first attempt of living in Holland, oh no, I first relocated to Meppel in the North where my dutch girlfriends family lives. After travelling for 4 years, Meppel a nice place but I could'nt settle there, way tooo small and clicky.
We both headed to Den Haag where we both loved the mixer of race, creed and colour. But after some time living near Zuiderpark I had to through in the towel and returned to the UK to get out of the debt hole I dug myself into.

After 2 years living in Brighton we're back!!! - like a scene from RockY! - this time it's personal!

At least coming back to the Hague I have an idea of what to expect - I felt so isolated and depressed after the honeymoon period was over last time, not going to let that happen again.
Apart from working through all the dutch red tape, learning the dutch, looking for work ........ Making new friends here is a must!!

If anyone knows of an expat party/meetings in the Hague, please let me know. Even if someone wants to meet up for a drink, coffee, meal to share experiences and info or fancy a chat, that would be good to. Or anyone in the same position of can give me advice in settling in i would much appreciate it, ie insurance - Language courses

OOhhh a Geodie. I lived there for four years before I moved here. My boyfriend and housemates are both fellow Geordies (well they are from Hexham and Stocksfield).
