Hey Everyone!

I recently moved to NLD and looking for other Expats to meet. I live in Bergen Op Zoom, which is quite small and doesn't have any expats! Rotterdam and Breda are the largest cities closest to me so I would probably like to meet up there. I really don't have much of a network yet outside of work- which is a big culture shock for me since I'm very social. If your interested in meeting up after work or on the weekends, let me know. I'd like to get something together in the next couple of weeks.

Bergen Op Zoom... Bad luck Mike ! You must have done something really bad to end up there?
Must be lots of Expats in Bergen op Zoom though, considering Phillip Morris are based there...... Roosendaal has quite a few expats living there as well. But futher west, you'll only find farmland and holiday homes! Nevertherless, www.wigz.nl (Zeeland expat group) might be worth looking into, if only to obtain any info on social contacts?

Why don't you drive to Antwerp for your social contacts? It's so close and there you will find thousands of expats!

I am a young professional expat (ha! how cool is that!) in breda..not many of us around here (at least that I am aware of..) so, if you feel like having a drink let me kow! always happy to meet new people.

I am also still missing some more social life...it has been more difficult than I expected to find people here! I am Spanish and I used to go for a beer with friends veeery often when I was still living there...I miss that!

I will be starting to work in Bergen Op Zoom from 16 Feb on. Goes without saying that a relocation is part of the deal and I have also decided to stay in BOZ for the beginning, as I would like to focus on work and learn the ropes.

However, as I have never lived in NL, it would be great to exchange experience with other expats and maybe go for an occasional beer or two.

Is BOZ that bad? I haven't heard many nice comments about the town so far... Your comments and feedback are more than welcome.

Like any place, BOZ is what you make of it. Where are you from? I'm a Kiwi living with my dutch partner in Breda, feel free to pm me if you ever want to catch up for a drink. That goes for anyone else here too.

Just about to move down to the Rotterdam area myself, just securing some new accomodation, but I may be living our on Voorne island near Ooostvoorne/Brielle, but will be popping into the big smoke that is Rotterdam for some socialising at some stage.
