I just got back from Germany, and after having a few breakfasts at the Bagel Brothers there, realized how horrible and overpriced Bagels and Beans is by comparison. Just curious if there are any good bagel places in Amsterdam that may have slipped my eye. The few I've found (Bagels & Beans and one by Olympiaplein) are not very flavourful. Otherwise, may have to make monthly trip to Bonn and "hamster" some...

Gary's Muffins, perhaps? Or Uncle Saul's Deli Bakery on Kinkerstraat?

I haven't tried it yet, but there's a place beside the big AH at Waterlooplein that looks promising. Last time I passed, they were advertising a bagel with pastrami, pickles, and cream cheese, which sounds very good. Made a note to try it next time I pass by.
