Actually, there are a lot of Turkish tailors and clothes alteration services dotted around Amsterdam.

In Amsterdam, I use a place on the Vijzelstraat, which is right in the center. It's a small place, close to the Albert Heijn (on the same side), at that end of the street.

I would avoid the Pathe, also on the Vijzelstraat - I was told to bring my trousers back to where I bought them to get them altered. Gotta love the customer service here
