someone who is a doctor? or who is going back and get their old GP to give some?? my mum is major allergic but can still use stopayne and like now with a tooth abscess, paracetamol is just not enough and morphine would be rediculous!
coldcaps are great too and citrosoda and the rehydrat is MUCH better than here.
am i alone on this issue?

I know what you mean. Personally, I don't like stopayne - think i have a few capsules of that lying around, but much prefer ibuprofen myself. However, I love Flutex, and you can't get it here. There's about 5 different medications I stock up on when I get back to SA (or when I can con visitors to bring some with them. Cold and flu medicien particularly - for both us and the kids. The Dutch just don't think that you should medicate colds or flu. why not though, if it takes away the symptoms without doing any harm.
Additionally, i just found out last week that they are no longer selling imodium syrup (or any equivalent). i use it for the kids. the pharmacists just try to convince me to give them rehydration fluids instead.

yip, and the rehydration stuff here is not as strong as back home!
we only use stopayne for severe pain. last resort.
