After years in Europe, I am going back HOME! Anyone know of some good AFFORDABLE suburb areas around Toronto. Also where is the main metal manufacturing and car industry located? Windsor? Or other areas? Any advice appreciated... Thanks in advance. Lucy T

'Affordable' suburbs of Toronto?? There's not much that's close but you could...head west to Milton, north to Newmarket, East to Whitby / Oshawa if you want to work in the Toronto area. Each are serviced by "GO" trains.
Metal mfr / car industry areas: Alliston (Honda), Cambridge-Woodstock (Toyota / Suzuki), Oshawa, Oakville & Windsor handle the N.A. carmakers. Windsor is struggling with job loss though. The Cambridge/Kitchener - Woodstock corridor is doing well and Toyota is opening a new plant in that area.
