Hi all
Just new to this forum and hopefully I've posted this in the right bit, and was looking for some advice
Myself and my wife would like to move to Belgium to set up a self employed business, running from a property that we would also live in
We were wondering how much of a capital you would need up front to apply for a business loan, or would it be better to apply for one in the UK ?
Also we were wondering what business taxes are like and and what changes can how easy it is to get planning permission to alter buildings to convert into business premises
Many Thanks for your time

Yep, you can give 55% of your income to ensure that all those people walking around during the day have plenty of money to spend and no motivation to get bcak to work. That money will also help support the legions of bureaucrats which do nothing all day, have no idea what to do with your paperwork (if they do anything at all) and in general make it impossible to do anything without other bits of paper.
I was thinking about forming a business here, but after I got conflicting directions from the same people (one set in Flemish, one set in French) and after my wife starting getting lied to and hassled by bureacrats at the city hall (despite having all the correct paperwork) I said that there's no way in Hades that I would ever form a business here.
Instead, I'll go back up to Amsterdam, where, even if I don't like it, I can get everything done in a day... not 6-12 weeks, if ever. So, living here until I move, with a business based in NL.
