Hi, I'm an American who's just moved to Breda as well to be with my Dutch boyfriend. I'm 24, originally from Houston, Texas, but lived in England and Detroit as well. Nice to see so many expats in Breda! biggrin.gif Feel free to email/IM me anytime, info's in my profile.

So what's everyone's hobbies?

Well, I was born and raised in Houston, lived for 2 years near Leeds, then moved to Detroit for a year and from Detroit to Breda. Whew. biggrin.gif Yeah, I do miss people, but I like Breda as well, it's a nice city. Whereabouts in England are you from?

Hadn't heard about the "I'm not a tourist"day, might have to check it out. When is it?

I'm a big movie buff myself, also very much into books, renaissance/medieval reenactment, computers and computer games, sewing, cooking, and travel.

Hi Girls! I am looking for friends in Breda as well. I live in Breda-Heuvel about 15 mins from the centre. My name is Pong, 28, I am not from US or UK but from Thailand. If you don't mind having a thai friend, PM me. :-)

Hi everyone,

My girlfriend and I have been in Breda for roughly a year. I'm American (28) and she's Canadian (25). We would like to meet other expats around here as well. Perhaps drinks/coffee in town one evening?

Hi Geo,

Yeah, sounds great to me- when is good for everyone? I'd definitely be up for meeting for drinks in town or something.

How about Zeezicht at 9 PM (tonight) on the Grote Markt? We can always move to another place if it's too crowded/smokey/whatever. Is anyone else in?

Ack, sorry I didn't reply to this earlier- been feeling a bit sick. Hope everyone had a great time, and hopefully we can arrange something again soon.

It was a sociable evening last night. To ensure other interested people don't miss out sociable events for expats in our area, feel something like a "Meetin.org (Breda)" account could be made. Amsterdam, Eindhoven&Maastricht groups already exist, so why not Breda?

It was a fun evening, and a pleasure to meet Martin and Joanne. Looking forward to another meet up. I think it's a great idea to set up a meetin.org Breda group. Will investigate next week.
