Don't know if my situation is common enough to get an answer.

I am Chinese (non-EU) citizen working and living in Germany with my wife. I got a new offer in NL so we have decided to relocate to the middle point between Düsseldorf and Nijmegen inside Germany boarder. The nightmare starts when I was told by my relocation service that to apply the residence permit at IND, I need a Dutch address. That means I need to rent a house in Netherlands which I will never use. In addition, where am I suppose to buy the car (I use to have a company car with old job and need one soon for the new job)? If I register the car in Germany where I live, guess the dutch custom won't be happy. If I register and insure the car in Netherlands where I work, Germany custom won't be happy either. I simply go ahead getting a car in Germany since I need to car very soon even before I start my new job in NL.

I am puzzled and appreciate your opinion.
