urgently looking for some advice PLEASE!! lived in antwerp with my partner for almost 2 years! moved back to UK and have been living here for over two years now! we realised that we should never have left and miss belgium (despite all the hardships of expat living!!) and want to move back; before we left we de-registered at our local town hall! when we re-register (we will not be moving back to antwerp; probably brugge or gent) do we have to state that we lived in antwerp before? i ask because we were stopped coming from holland with a small amount of a herbal substance by the police (stupidly we didnt think that we were doing anything wrong..... i know.....thats why i said stupidly we didnt do it again!!) we had our details taken were never contacted again by the police; despite being in the country for over fourteen months or so after that! am now worried that this one stupid thing might affect our residency permits (we are european citizens)

Not to worry. The authorities have a huge backlog and a small grass incident wont affect ur registration. (and I dont think its legal anyways to block your registration for this).
It brought a smile to my face!! |
