Are there any other Malaysians living in The Netherlands? I only know of myself and wengyeeleong:D

I miss asam laksa, nasi lemak, ikan bakar, nasi kandar, char kway teow and mamak stalls :/ I miss not having to take public transport. I miss the public holidays (and the open houses which go with it) , the islands and shopping. Can't wait to go back for a holiday! smile.gif

Hallo there, there is a MFC and also a in NL.

These are Malaysia Friends Club (email mfcnnl@gmail.com) and the Singapore Netherlands Association (www.sna-nl.org).

You can find contacts also peer fellowmen close to you per
http://www.frohsz.de/

It is set up by a Malaysian girl originally from KL who resides in Germany. From this site you can find quite many people from South East Asia. By doing a query you can find Malaysians, Singaporeans, Thais etc who lives in your area.

To my understanding MCF need more participants´ + volunteers´ interest to make this happen. There are get togethers though. Tomorrow, or should I say today (19 May) there is a Vesak day lunch (Nyonya makan) + event sight-see including a visit to the Diamond factory in Amsterdam.

Btw, there will be a Malaysian Foodfair on the 9th and 10th June (Sat & Sun) at the Hague. Think free of charge cos nothing is noted on the invite. Perhaps you want to go? If yes, let me know. I´ll send you the details.

Perhaps mei would also be interested. She sounded desparate missing M´sia food.

Ah, unfortunately, I'm in Malaysia now so I can't attend the food fair. I can however stuff myself with all kinds of Malaysian food here:D Going back in July though so more information about the Malaysian Society would be appreciated.

I live in the less popular part of The Netherlands (Gelderland) and I'd love to meet Malaysians living nearby.

Hi Mei,

I´m not sure if there´re other M´sians living in your neighbourhood but you can contact Gerald Chan by emailing him at

mfcnnl@gmail.com

To my understanding Gerald come to know that there are 300 - 500 M´sians in NL when he was active in organising for bigger groups. He would have contacts for you, I believe.

Good luck.

Oh, girl's outing? Too bad...

I'm still adjusting to the people, language and environment. It's kinda tough espcially for those who'd spent their childhood in Asia.

Hopefully I will survive.

If there's any activity that I might be considered, do let me know... I'm bored...
