That bloody fool Zapatero, who legalised all those immigrants, is now crying out for help from the EU to stem the invasion of boat people that only seems to grow day by day, month by month, year by year.
Response from the EU? We don´t have money to help you with border control. But we DO have money -- over 100 million EUR thus far - to help rebuild Lebanon ! (A war we had nothing to do with!) Our own people come first! Politicians who do not learn this simple lesson will have another thing coming. |

By way of comparison, Australia has just taken a unique approach to the refugee problem: boats. That's right, just because you sneak in, or declare yourself a refugee at the border doesn't mean you actually get to enter the country. Nope, you get put on a boat out at sea.
Belgium, by contrast, allows people into the country "pending a decision" on their case. In many (indeed most) these people have children which gives them near automatic rights to stay. Those that don't simply "disappear". Europe could learn a lot from Australia. |
