Hi Harry,

What you need to do is go to the notary office and tell them you want to incorporate a b.v.

I have all the forms but they also are in Dutch. If you want, email me privately and i can verify they are the right ones and give you an explaination on how to fill it out.

At any rate, you have to do it via a notary. They are the only ones that can incorporate a b.v. (US equiv. of an LLC) Mine charged us around 1200eur, plus tax and other charges for the name research.

It takes about a 3-4 weeks. They register it with the kvk as part of the service. You have to have your passport and a bank account for the business with a min. 18K eur in it. The notary will also handle getting approval from the ministry of justice. That takes the longest. It's simply a procedure that verifies that you haven't done anything shady with respects to money...like bankrupcy or fraud.

Stay away from Tax Consultants International! We went through them to do our b.v. and got royally fried.

Hope that helps, my email is <a href="mailto:tig@dr.com" Target="_BLANK">tig@dr.com</a>
Pete.

Harry, I am not sure you will find those form in English. If you do find these, please let me know. I set up a Stamrecht BV which might be different from a normal BV but I also needed 18k and I had only documents in Dutch.
I went through a so-called specialist.. W&P Belastingadviseurs, Vredehofstraat 13, 3761 HA SOEST) to set up this Stamrecht, paid 3500 euro in 2006 which was a) already a rip off if you consider market price in thoses days at around 1500 euro and cool.gif very poor advice since W&P Belastingadviseurs made "blatant" mistakes (Status of the Director looking after your company if you move abroad + No of years you have to wait before you can close the company down) which my Dutch tax accountant brought to my attention a year later when I made my first tax declaration (W&P Belastingadviseurs in the meantime suggested to send me to another tax accountant at my own costs to clean up the mess in which they had put me in!

So watch out and meet different people (in my case this would have been a no-bullshit tax accountant!)
