I was wondering if I can get english language TV shows in Brussels? If I can, do I need to scribe to a cable provider to receive it? Also, I've heard that the phone service is totally different than it is here in Canada. ( pricing etc. ) Can anyone explain this to me? And lastly, how much can I expect to pay a month for high speed internet, telephone service and cable? Is there lots of providers to choose from?
Thanks for any info you can offer.

Cheers!

Loads of English speaking TV channels. BBC channels and a lot of the Flemish or Dutch channels show original language films with subtitles. If you are really bothered you could get SKY via satelite but all in all there are lots of English channels available via cable etc.

Check out Belgacom's website for telephone+internet stuff. Broadband via DSL is widely available and not that pricey.

Hello Deidrea,

You can also get Sky digital in Brussels. It is a UK based satellite, so US/canadian shows are shown after their premiere in the US/Canada. If you are interested in getting English speaking channels, which we do all the hard work for you, then please contact us here at: <a href="mailto:install_sat@yahoo.co.uk" Target="_BLANK">install_sat@yahoo.co.uk</a>, or see our ad in the Business Directory under digital satellite providers. Happy New Year to everyone.

Kindest regards,

Andy & Jane.

Another route to go to is GOtDVD (<a href="http://gotdvd.tripod.com" Target="_BLANK">http://gotdvd.tripod.com</a>). You pick the US shows that you want and they mail you a DVD weekly with the shows. I have been using them for my shows and movies, no complaints yet.
