i have been to the girl bars in amsterdam. mostly via la vie, You2, and I think the COC still has a womens disco on saturday nights.

but i am mearly a gay man.

o.k. am in good mood and ready to tell you all I know....but helaas..it's not a lot....and Amsterdam is so not what you would expect/hope for...it's a tight scene!! I hope there's more but I don't think so.....

1. Bars: Vive la Vie, Sarrein, Sappho and new one on Sunday afternoons Kamer 401 (haven't been)

2. Clubs: COC - various nights but usually summit every Saturday night. YOU II, Flirtation - need to watch out for this but every 4 months or so the Lets be Open team organise a ladies night - Flirtation...mmm what else....eh...well rather than me typing more.... suggest you visit.

When I moved to Amsterdam i was hoping it would be easy to meet other bi/lesbians and come out, but now i've noticed that all i have behind (5 yrs in Amsterdam) is a couple of long term unhappy relationships with guys. Been to sappho and You2, but dont like the meat market feeling, and anyway I dont feel comfortable of picking up girls / being picked up in a bar. Besides the lesbian scene in Amsterdam is really small, everyone knows everyone, and everyone's been with everybody! all i want is to meet a nice sweet girl, is that too much to ask??
I heard there's a girl chat called Silvia or Sophie.nl something like that, does anyone know? A bi friend of mine used to meet nice girls there.. Please help, I'd love to meet someone (doesnt we all?) but does it always have to go via a bar and being drunk??
