I really can't decide in which city to relocate.
I include The Hague in Rotterdam, since they're REALLY close. I also include Mechelen in Antwerp, since they're somewhat close too. So yeah, what are the pros and cons of the 3 cities? Which is the best to relocate to... So far, here are my thoughts Pros : Amsterdam : - Biggest city - Beautiful city (Canals) - Good size (about the same size city I live in right now which is 3mill) - Capital - Low income tax (?) Rotterdam : - Modern city - A lot of parks and trees (green) - More american - alike city. - The city is located in the center - equal distance between Antwerp, Amsterdam, Utrecht, etc. - Low income tax (?) - Low living cost (?) - Best city for IT. Antwerp : - The most beautiful city out of all three (in my opinion anyways) - I already have friends there - Nice apartments offered for a low price - Low living cost (?) Cons : Amsterdam : - Too compact. The city's too small for 2 million residents - High living cost (?) Rotterdam : - People living there seem to be USUALLY lower class compared to amsterdam / antwerp. (I have no idea, that's what I've been told) Antwerp : - High income tax (?) - The city seems to be... dirty and unkept. That's mainly observations from what my friends living there have told me. Are they right? Which city to choose? |

The best city is the one where your employer is. End of story. You think Antwerp-Amsterdam is commutable twice a day? No matter how close it looks on a map, you will be stuck in huge traffic jams in peak hours between most cities. |
