Hello all,

I lived in Germany for 5 years. During that time, I worked for a German employer and contributed to the German SSA system.

According to what I heard, because I am an American citizen and because I will not be retiring in Germany, I am entitiled to receive all of the money (SSA) I contributed to the system back.

I have received the form from the Deutsche Rentenversichurng Bund - but - my experience has been that the German government can be a little interesting if you don't fill out the forms (or do the tasks) just right.

Has anyone out there had any experience with this?

TIA
