Hi, Everybody,

I am an U.S. citizen living in Holland as a Dutch resident. Do I have to pay U.S. tax for the interest and dividends earned in the U.S.? On the other words, are the interest and dividends earned in the U.S. deductible from foreign earned income credit on the U.S. tax return?

Recently, I received a letter from IRS asking me to pay income tax for the interest and dividends earned in the U.S. I thought I wouldn't need to pay that since that should be covered by my foreign income credit. I am confused. Please advise.
