I have got my MVV stamped on my passport. I will be flying to NL this month end. Now I want to process my wife's dependent MVV. As my employer is not helping me in this, i need to do it myself.

I just wanted to ask, whether I can apply for her MVV in india before i travel, or do i need to apply after reaching NL directly with IND. How many days it may take if i apply in India

Thanks

Hi Sujay,

In our case also the employer did not help my husband in applying for my dependent visa.. We did it all by our selves.
I don have an idea about applying from India because he applied for my MVV after he got here...
I can tell you the procees we follwed in getting my MVV........

Firstly he submitted our legalised MC and my BC at the Gemette(townhall). They had sent it to the IND for verification..It would take about 6-8 weeks..In our case we got it by 6 weeks...
After this process he applied to the IND for my provisional MVV ..They would take 3-6 weeks to give you the positive advice..
On receving the positive advice I went to mubai and got my visa stamped...
It nearly took us 3 months for all this process...
I don know how much of information I have given u but hope it helps u to some extent atleast...

Cheers,
Nithi

nithi is right, above is the process to be followed....to bring your dependant here in NL......make sure you apply for your wife's MVV only when your marriage is registered here in townhall and you have the M40 in hand, then send the complete app for MVV with that form.....this way IND is obliged to give a decision in 3-4 weeks.....otherwise it takes 3 months

gudluck with everything

Hi Nithi,

I am also having similar issues. I came here in NL around 3 weeks back.
How much did the total process cost for you guys?? Did you consult any agents for filing MVV application process to IND.
If possible please provide me your contact numbers so that I can ask your hubby.

Thanks
Sourav

The moment you register your marriage with the townhall offcourse with a duly legalized MC, they will give you an extract which is officially called a M40 from. This is then used for applying for a dependent MVV. Hope this helps!

true, M40 is the extract that mentions your name, address, spouse name, marital status DOBs etc, and this is only issued after your marriage is registered with townhall

yes thats right, if you file the MVV for your dependant separately, you have to pay 830 euros.

Other costs might be 10 euros for the M40 form, i guess that shud be it

Hi Guys,

Sorry to bring this post alive again...i have learnt quite a few things and rules in past one month but still finding myself short in knowledge in few cases.... sad.gif

To the guys here who have gone thru for applying MVV for wife. Let me write down the points ..

1) I got the forms required for MVV application. Now first I need to collect relevent documents & submit it to IND with 830 Euro.
2) Once MVV is approved(hopefully..) then a copy of it needs to go to INDIAN NL embassy. Should I tell IND to send a copy to for example Mumbai Embassy? Or my wife can visit Mumbai or Delhi NL embassy stating the MVV number?
3) Then she needs to make an appointment and get a MVV stamp and provisional VISA for 90 days. Whats the service charge for this provisional VISA?
4) Once everything is done...and she flys to holland...upon reaching here she needs to apply for a temporary residence permit?? Or mine will do?? If yes...is the charge 188 Euro ??

Thanks in advance for your replies....
I am not able to plan the total process as these gaps are still present. Please let me know if I have missed any steps in between.

Sourav

Sonics,
I recently undergone to the MVV process and here is the correction point by point
QUOTE (sounics @ Aug 8 2008, 09:33 PM) *
1) I got the forms required for MVV application. Now first I need to collect relevent documents & submit it to IND with 830 Euro.

You get the form, fill it up and send to the IND for the decision with all the relevant documents and attachments. NO FEES payment at this stage for the advice

Once IND approves your application, ie positive decision have been made by IND, You will receive a letter from the IND saying that positive advice has been taken. Also you will be asked to transfer 830 Euros to IND. After IND receives the payment, THEY will send the MVV file to the DUTCH consulate in INDIA, Delhi or Bombay which ever you hade chosen in the MVV application form.THIS take 4-5 days.

QUOTE
3) Then she needs to make an appointment and get a MVV stamp and provisional VISA for 90 days. Whats the service charge for this provisional VISA?

Rule wise afterwards DUTCH consulate will send a letter to your home address of your wife(or indian address u mentioned in mvv application) stating the required documents to collect the visa. With that letter she can go directly to the consulate WITHOUT appointment.. However it may take 2-3 weeks for this letter to reach. so better you take appointment and proceed.
moreover THERE IS NO VISA FEE FOR THIS.

Yes once she arrives, 1st you should register in your local Geemente. after 3-4 days you will receive a letter which is important for the IND for extension. Take appointment with your local GGD for X-RAY checkup. After wards make an appointment with ur nearby local IND office and visit them again with the necessary forms and documents. You will have to pay 188 euro . afterwards she will receive her own recident permit card, which you have...

Cheers and goodluck

friends,

I am in the process of applying MVV for my wife and I need a clarification on the proof of income appendix.

There is a point that says we have to submit the below

- Documentary evidence that your employer has registered your current employment contract with the competent authority in relation to the payment of social security contributions and taxs.

My employer says pay slips are enough proof for the above.

Could some clarify if the pay slips are enough or I have to produce a seperate document. If yes... what is it?

Thanks!

Hi,
Including payslip, you should submit the complete "employers declaration" appendix. Just ask your HR / Secretary to fill up the following form. You can download it by clicking the link below (it will expire in 14 days)

http://bars.rug.nl/download/884d56dbae22fd49

The form has to be filled up by your EMPLOPYER, even your name etc. So just give them the blank form and ask them to fill it up with your details and give it back to you.

Good luck

Hi,

Thanks for the information.

However based on the proof of income appendix the following are the required documents

- employment contacts (I have this)
-employers declaration (I will get it from my employer)
-payslips for the last 3 months ( I have this)

Apart from the above three documents there is another document that is requested, which is

- Documentary evidence that your employer has registered your current employment contract with the competent authority in relation to the payment of social security contributions and taxs.

I would like to know what is this document.

Thanks for your help.

HI Sounics,
I would suggest you to just download the MVV form and try to fill it up. On each step in the form, its mentioned that which documents/appendix you should submit depending upon your case. Having said that here are the items which i submitted
  1. Complete MVV form
  2. Original GBA extract
  3. Copy of legalized marriage certificate
  4. copy of your residence permit and bank card, both side
  5. copy of all pages of your passport
  6. copy of all pages of yourWIFE's passport
  7. copy 3 months Salary slip
  8. copy Work contract
  9. Original employers declaration appendix
  10. Copy 3 months bank statement

Now for MVV collection in India, Following documents are required by your wife
  1. A valid passport
  2. Complete Application form
  3. Copy of 3 months International health insurance
  4. Copy of legalised Marriage certificat
  5. Legalised Birth certificate
  6. A complete copy of passport of the spouse (ie husband)

I hope this helps...
Good luck

Also remember that its not necessary to have legalised Marriage certificate initially for registration at the town hall.

You can submit a copy of marriage certificate and later when you have the legalised one, you can submit the same. In the mean time, town hall does verification with IND, which takes around 3-5 weeks.

Once u go with ur original legalised MC, by that time, town hall should have received the info from IND, and they register ur marriage in 1-2 days.

Moral> No need to have legalised MC atleast to visit the town hall and start the registration process.
