Hi everyone. I keep hearing that Easyjet are going to be stopping flights to and from Schiphol in the near future thanks to the new higher landing/takeoff taxes, but I can't find anything on the net even mentioning it. Can anybody tell me how much truth there is behind this because I'm from Letchworth which is no more than 15 miles from Luton Airport and travel home from Amsterdam every 6 weeks or so to see friends and family and it would make it a bit more inconvenient (although I'm sure going to Eindhoven etc instead wouldn't kill me!)

As of now they have officialy communicated via the press that are just going to reduce the number of flights due to new taxes.

I met an air traffic controller from Schiphol on a Sleazy Jet flight. He told me that KLM and any other affiliate airlines take prescedence over ANY low-cost carriers at Schiphol when it comes to delay-avoidance, etc.

That was in the news that they wanted to let all the cheapies depart from Lelystad (what airport is that?).................
I sincerly hope they don't!! I really don't want to have to traipse into the polder to catch a flight!! |
