My wife and I will be moving to Belgium shortly. My position will be in Leuven. She hopes to find something either in Antwerp or Brussels. We expect to stay in Belgium for 2 to 4 yrs.

We have a 14 yr old son and would like to hear some opinions on local vs. international schools. My employer will pay tuition, so this should not be an issue.

I have read that the local schools can be very good, but we are concerned about how long it will take our son to learn to read and speak Flemish.

We would be interested to hear of good or bad experiences that others have had in integrating their teens into local schools.
