Hi,
I have submitted my Marriage certificate for legalisation in Chennai Secretariat 4 weeks ago. I havent received any details from them yet. Can anyone let me know how many days would it take to receive the legalised document. I checked in Tambaram Registrar office for the same. They are asking me to check in IG office Santhome and District Registrar's Office, Saidapet. Have anyone of you undergone this scenario? Thanks Pratap 9894528311(chennai)/9886685964(blore) |

Hi Pratap,
In our case my husband had personally gone to the Secretariat and submitted our MC and my BC for legalisation..It took us 7 weeks to get it legalised. Actually it depends on the place you got married. Cause once u submit ur MC for legalisation they have to send a copy to the concerned register office for verification.. In our case ,our wedding was registed in karur and they sent the document to kanchipuram register office by mistake.. It took us three weeks to trace our document... The kanchipuram office had sent the document to the karur office and here people did not sign it at ease...Should'nt be saying it but we paid some money and things worked out faster than we expected.... Kindly enquire in all those register office'S and again in the secretariat too.. These people are always like this... Hope I have given u some info... Cheers, Nithi.. |
