Does anybody, maybe a member from the Indian, Pakistani or Bangladesh community can tell me where I can find those delicious hot naga peppers? I 'm prepared to drive a little bit around to purchase some of them because I can freeze them in...You would really do me a favour. Thanks!

They're not available in the Netherlands. There's a grower in Dorset (UK) that mail orders ,but only to UK addresses. The closest available chile in Holland is the Madame Jeanette(sp?) same basic taste (same cultivar)but a bit milder(not by any means wimpy) and available at most Tokos .True Asian Nagas can be used as a weapon, most people can't tolerate them.Dorset address below if you REALLY want them.

Thank you very much for the information. I knew the Dorset grower does not ship his peppers abroad and that's why I asked if anyone knows if these nagas are sold over here. I use Madame Jeannette, Pili-Pili and Jalapeño rebgularly...but not as weapons! laugh.gif

The English guys will ship seeds ,if you have a garden area, but I understand that family of peppers to be a bit of a gardener's challenge?Did you find fresh Jalapenos in the Amsterdam area?I've seen lots of jarred pickled ones ,but haven't been lucky enough to find fresh.Lots of varieties to try in the Turkish shops and a few good imports from Thailand, but not real variety like Mexico or South America.

Can someone explain the "weapons" bit?

If you get the oil from a naga or madame jeanette on your hands and rub your eyes you'll understand the possible weapons use of these things. laugh.gif

Okay. Now I know what you're talking about. After a very tearful experience an ex had at my fingertips(!) a couple of hours after cooking her a chilli dish, now, if I'm working with chillis, I always wear latex gloves.wink.gif
