Hi,
I'm not sure if one of you could point me to web resources that provide clarification on vacation regulations. I know this is partially part of the CAO but also partially in the Burgerlijk Wetboek. The situation I have is as follows. I work for an american company who decided to introduce a company wide blackout period for vacation from 15.August to 15.October. This means that no one is allowed to take vacation during that time. While that probably is not an issue from alegal point of view in the US, I have a gut feeling that this cant be legal here in NL. I had to break the news to my team but would like to engage with my US HR department to challenge this. I would appreciate if you have help or advise on where to find arguments, legal statements in this regard. I read Dutch very well (even legal texts). Chris |
