Hi Everyone,
This is my first post so I am hoping you are able to help me out. I am sure you have had this cry for help before but here goes.
I live in Oegstgeest near Leiden and I am looking for a hairdresser to cut and colour my hair using either foils or magi mesh. The ones I have tried have been pretty awful to say the least! I am also looking for a facial I used to have a C.A.C.I. done when I was in Ireland but according to the website there is no salon here that uses that method, so I am looking for something similar as it really helps my skin.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks

You are going to struggle with colouring in Holland full stop. I've been here 7 years and never ever had a decent colour yet. I've tried salons in Amsterdam, Haarlem, Amstelveen & Aalsmeer and can recommend none for colouring. The Dutch are famous for Clogs, Windmills, Cheese and extremely bad hairdressers. Good luck!

Yeah and they stole those things.
I agree they have screwed up my hair several times and I finally had to get it done in the UK to correct it once and for all. Suggest you fly into london than let them do a horrific job in Holland and have to live with it for months.

Come on Mandy, don't you like the Italian icecream in SDcheveningen, down the Passage? It's delicious. And the icecream at Kijkduin is tasty too! Are you so nostalgic about the "chalets" in the British resorts?

How about just for a cut? Can anyone recommend a hairdresser just for a cut please? I have very thick hair and my hairdresser in UK always does an amazing job in layering my hair and making it manageable for me, but it's all growing out of shape now!

I can't wait till my next trip back to London so please, if anyone can recommend somewhere for a good cut I'd really appreciate it!

Hi,

My hairdresser is pretty good with both cutting and colouring. I believe she also gives workshop to other hairdressers about hair colouring. She is located at "Sjenkels and Sjenkels" in Delft. She is called "Tui", originally from vietnam, hence the unusual name.

I've been going to the same salon in Den Haag for 3 years (changed hairdressers once becasue my first one moved and had the same colorist the entire time) and I can recommend it. I've never been disappointed when I walk out and I frequently get compliments on my hair even if I haven't had it cut for 8 weeks :-) The price is also surprisingly reasonable. For a cut, color and highlights I pay around €90.
Anyway, it's called Zazoo and it's located really close to the Vredsepaleis in Den Haag. The number is 070 3652733 and ask for Micha to cut and Priscilla to color/highlight. I can't speak for anyone else that works there but these 2 are great.

Usually they can followup on previous work so even though it is growing out they can see how it was done, just tell them to continue the process.
but they literally can't blow dry hair properly. They always say to me. Oh you need to get it chemically treated, it was already by the way. They do it once a twice because I can't deal with it any more. Then I go to the UK and walk back into the shop and show them what the UK did, and at least they look embarrassed when I show how inept they are.

Thanks, I guess I will give it a go and hope for the best! I am intrigued by your comment that they can blow dry hair properly, How can they not know how?!! Well, I guess I have to experience it myself!
