Hi,
I want to rent a car in Antwerp. What are the license requirements? I have a current international license, but don't even know if its valid here. Also do the rules change if you are not here on a holiday visa but rather a resident? Any help or knowledge would be appreciated. Thanks muchly M. |

Your International license is valid here for the first year of your residency (i.e - assuming you have a resident permit). Renting a car is pretty straightforward. Most agencies demand that you have held the lciense for more than one year and the amount you pay decreases once you are over 25. rental companies in Belgium have a few competitive weekend offers. Just google and see what you come up with. Friends have used sixt and budget On an aside, Most countries have a bilateral license exchange agreement with Belgium, as a result of which you can exchange your national license for a Belgian one (Note: You can only do so during your first year of residency). -------------------- "The important thing is to know why we want to dance.
